New Heavy Duty Outdoor Handset w/Switch & Box (ESCO)

Designed to be used with ESCO Executive Series Intercom models in Truck Stops and other loud environments. Handset helps reduce background noise and allows for clearer communications.
Unit comes with:
• hearing aid compatible receiver per EIA Standard RS-504
• internal pre-wired strip with extra connection for a second external speaker
• standard industrial dual gang box enclosure
• standard black handset and 2 ½ foot polished armored cable.
Lifting handset from cradle activates unit and sends “call” signal to host intercom. Optional second speaker is active when handset is positioned in cradle.
If not using the second speaker we recommend installing a 10 ohm, ½ watt resistor across the 2nd speaker terminal strip contacts to eliminate potential “hum” at intercom when the handset station is selected. Units can be ordered with extended armored cables and be pre-wired for other intercom systems as well.
